i am, and have been for a long time, a global warming skeptic. i'm going to try and find (or perhaps recreate) a post i made about 5 years ago on the topic that traced the history of some of the global catastrophe scares going back to the late 19th century.
but for now, i'll let this article say a lot of what i would.

Brian,I am so glad you posted... I don't have your email address, and I wanted to write you.
I am going crazy getting all of these emails about "cyber Monday". What the heck is it, and is it new or does everyone know what it is and it is just me being computer challenged!! You are my computer go to guy. (lucky you!)
Any help???
Charise
cyber monday is the online version of black friday. the idea is that people will buy online on monday the stuff they couldn't get in stores on friday (and saturday i guess).
i'm guessing the emails you are getting are from online retailers advertising their sales for today.
funny thing is i did my shopping at midnight on friday buying stuff online. go figure.
My husband is a Global Warming Septic too. He had quite a long talk w/ some green peace chick on the streets of DC about it. His take is that yea things are starting to happen...but is it really our fault? Or is the cycle of the earth or something like that. I am sure he would love to chat w/ you about it sometime.
